die tonspur – ein film ohne bilder,
das zarte flimmern bei geschlossenen augen als projektionsfläche für das cinematische nebengeräusch der musik. alpha suite ist filmmusik für jene filme, die auch hinter der netzhaut wahrnehmbar sind, verschlüsselt und wortlos, das geheimnis in unschärfe hüllend; töne öffnen räume, die der bildlichen definition nicht automatisch bedürfen.

die art der herstellung dieser musik ist programm:
auf geloopte rhythmen wurde verzichtet. der analoge ansatz, die verwendung elektrischer gitarren, von casio-keyboards oder melodika, generiert töne, die eindeutig eine gegenposition zu herkömmlichen spielarten der filmmusik einnehmen. sie erzählen keine geschichten, sie malen keine stimmungen, sie reagieren allenfalls, so vorhanden, auf bildliche vorgaben und setzen die hirnrinde in schwingung.

wer die nötige vorstellungskraft nicht aufbringt, der muss den fernseher aufdrehen.
ansonsten gilt für die rezeption dieser musik:
du sollst dir (k)ein bild machen.
